Gabriela Araujo

I am a PhD student in Economics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE) in the International Doctorate of Economic Analysis (IDEA) program. Former Reserve Bank of Australia Senior Analyst (five years across Financial Stability and International Financial Markets), currently on unpaid leave following Bank-funded study leave.

I am a macroeconomist working at the intersection of monetary economics, banking and finance. My research studies the role of banks and financial markets in shaping macroeconomic outcomes. I also pursue research in applied microeconomics, particularly on migration and economic development, combining microdata with quantitative economic models.
